BBT is a dance school dedicated to providing the highest quality dance education for girls and boys ages 2-19, as well as adults. BBT draws on the rich traditions of Russian ballet. In addition to teaching all students in classical ballet using the Russian Method, we teach them folk & character dance, modern and popular dance, ballroom and Latin dance, staging for the students original and contemporary choreography. Manhattan’s Largest Ballroom Dance Studio opened in April of 2009. It was our dream to provide students, teachers, social dancers and performance dancers with an elegant, functional space that could accommodate the growing need for teaching and training future ballroom dancers of every age.

The original center for dance, musical theatre and performance in Park Slope for both Children and Adults. In September we begin our 34th year of business in this community. The Frank Ohman School of Ballet was founded in 1979 by Frank Ohman, former soloist at New York City Ballet (NYCB) and is one of the few remaining direct links to the teaching of George Balanchine. Currently located in Commack, the school serves as a training ground for promising young dancers and offers aspiring students the opportunity to learn classical ballet in the tradition of George Balanchine. The Frank Ohman School of Ballet will guide your child from first steps to advanced technique, while instilling joy for this timeless art form. The school is a non-competition, non-recital school focusing on proper classical technique.

Capoeira Angola, an ancient martial art of African origin, is one of the many cultural weapons used to break the chains of enslavement in Brazil. Played close to the ground, Capoeira Angola combines fluid, dance-like movements with kicks, head butts, tripping sweeps and the appearance of playfulness or vulnerability. Music is played on traditional instruments to accompany the players, to teach the rhythmic heart of the art, and also to mask its power. In the eyes of the enslavers it appeared to be a joking and playful acrobatic dance, but eventually its power was realized and Capoeira was outlawed. Death was the penalty paid by those caught playing Capoeira during the slavery era. For almost 400 years Capoeira Angola was taught and practiced in secret, and only in the 1930's did this African martial art become legal to teach and practice.

Enquanto formação de profissionais oferece todos os níveis necessários em cada modalidade para que o aluno venha gradativamente se tornando apto à profissão. “A dança não é só execução de movimentos, então além de formar bailarinos, é necessário preocupar-se também em informá-los sobre tudo que envolve a dança, como história, nomenclatura, consciência corporal, repertórios, entre outros”.

A equipe Passo Básico conta com mais de 50 pessoas entre administração, professores, professores-assistentes, assistentes e bolsistas que trabalham diariamente dando aulas, cursos, fazendo apresentações, promovendo os bailes da academia, participando de workshops e eventos relacionados à dança, tudo isso com o objetivo de levar aos alunos o que há de melhor no ensino e na prática da dança de salão.

“Gotta Dance” Studio opened its doors on September 15, 2001. Owner, Miss Terri as she is known by her students, starting dancing at the age of 5 and always dreamed, that one day, she would open her own studio. She continued taking dance classes and was also a member of a local community theatre group for many years. There she was able to learn and develop not only her love of dance, but also her love for music, singing and acting. The performing arts has always been a big part of Miss Terri's life.
Mr. Ron & Miss Terri decided the time had come for them to fulfill the life long “Dream” and together they started searching for the perfect place. Their hope was to find a small studio where students could come and learn to love dance & music while having fun in a friendly and safe environment. Today, they are very proud of their accomplishments and are extremely grateful to all the wonderful families who have touched their lives. Their goal is to continue with this very gratifying work and in the process make “Gotta Dance” Studio, for all the families who are a part of it, a place that will be remembered and remain forever close to their hearts!

A corporation established by Deborah Fraulo, Carolyn Mackey & Allison Noto. After a decade of winning numerous awards and successfully teaching dance to students at local dance studio's, after school programs, competitions and auditions, these three young women decided it was time to make their long time dream a reality. In March of 2004 they set into motion their long anticipated "NEW BEGINNING" Deborah, Carolyn & Allison's success & love for teaching & choreographing led them to open their very own dance studio.

Champion Irish dancer and former lead of Riverdance, Kathleen Ryan, has expanded Ryan Irish Dance Academy to five locations across Nassau County.
Miss Kathleen has been dancing for more than 25 years, launching her international career with Riverdance on Broadway in 2000 and touring widely across North America with the iconic Celtic company until April 2005.

Wdely recognized as the greatest living choreographer. Earlier in his career he was also one of the greatest American dancers. His earliest dance training was in tap and ballroom dance, with a local teacher, Mrs. Barrett, in his hometown of Centralia, Washington: before he was a modern dancer, Merce was a hoofer. What he also learned from Mrs. Barrett was that “dance is most deeply concerned with each single instant as it comes along.”

"Over the course of my 42+ year career, studies and research trips, I have striven to collect all music, steps and styles possible of each dance from many on-site viewings, questions and participation, etc. and to choose a variety of the most typical steps and figures, presenting them in choreography true to their origins, while, hopefully, pleasing to the eyes and ears of the theater public."

A non-profit organization dedicated to extending the dream, dance legacy, and indomitable spirit of Isadora Duncan. The Foundation is based in New York City and supports the work of its resident performing troupe, Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company. The Company offers hundreds of performances annually of Isadora's original choreography as passed down through generations of Duncan dancers, in addition to new works, educational workshops and creative programs that nurture the soul and lift the spirit.

When you enter the doors of this 5000 square foot studio, you are taken back by the interior décor. Not expecting a dance studio to look like this, the interior boasts leather walls, fabric cushions, sconces, slate floors, zebra carpet and an array of vivid colors that move everyone to want to dance. The décor alone makes you want to jump. Each dance room is equipped with floating floors - two hard wood and one Mylar : 3000 square foot of pure dance space; two lobbies, four bathrooms, vending machines, an office, 10 foot mirror walls, incredible sound, warehouse style ceilings, lighting and funky brick walls to top off this real live Manhattan style space. L.A. Dance is not just a fun place to learn to dance; it’s the hottest thing in town. It’s the coolest place to be and it’s totally up with the times. The students are proud to call this home.

Concebido e administrado pela ex-diretora da Fundação Theatro Municipal, a ex bailarina Dalal Achcar dirige há mais de trinta anos a instituição que leva o seu nome, o Ballet Dalal Achcar, uma das principais referências do ballet clássico no Brasil. Tem sido um complemento indispensável na educação de jovens e crianças desde 1971, e é responsável pela formação de excelentes profissionais, muitos com bolsa de estudo no exterior. Agora, além da reconhecida tradição no ballet clássico, o Ballet Dalal Achcar oferece uma variedade de técnicas que abre as portas da escola para novos grupos de alunos com diferentes objetivos

O Studio Sauer Danças, um dos mais respeitados no universo da dança e do ballet clássico e moderno em todo o Brasil, é responsável pela formação de diversos profissionais que trabalham nas melhores Companhias do país e do mundo. O corpo docente do Studio é composto por nomes consagrados na arte da dança.
O ballet clássico do studio é dirigido pelo Professor Jean-Marie Dubrul, francês, ex-coreógrafo do corpo de baile do Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro e um dos precursores no ensino de balé para adultos no país há 30 anos. Entre as suas alunas mais assíduas, estão as atrizes Alinne Moraes, Letícia Spiller, Luana Piovani, Paula Burlamaqui e Carolina Dieckmann, que descobriram o poder da prática no condicionamento físico. .

O Grupo de Dança Julia de Athayde começou a se formar em 2001, quando Julia de Athayde e sua mãe Marisa de Athayde coordenaram um projeto de dança de salão em um condomínio de Jacarepaguá. A turma do prédio, muito animada, auto denominou-se de Gazela Dourada e, foi assim que Grupo cresceu.
Em 2002 o GDJA começou a organizar bailes mensais no Quality Shopping. Bailes de Fim de Ano, Halloween, carnaval e aniversários.
Em 2006, o GDJA iniciou um projeto social com aulas de dança para as crianças carentes do AMAR - Associação do Menor Abandonado e Recuperado, em Duque de Caxias, incluindo trabalho voluntário e dança coreográfica infantil nas escolas.
