“Gotta Dance” Studio opened its doors on September 15, 2001. Owner, Miss Terri as she is known by her students, starting dancing at the age of 5 and always dreamed, that one day, she would open her own studio. She continued taking dance classes and was also a member of a local community theatre group for many years. There she was able to learn and develop not only her love of dance, but also her love for music, singing and acting. The performing arts has always been a big part of Miss Terri's life.
Mr. Ron & Miss Terri decided the time had come for them to fulfill the life long “Dream” and together they started searching for the perfect place. Their hope was to find a small studio where students could come and learn to love dance & music while having fun in a friendly and safe environment. Today, they are very proud of their accomplishments and are extremely grateful to all the wonderful families who have touched their lives. Their goal is to continue with this very gratifying work and in the process make “Gotta Dance” Studio, for all the families who are a part of it, a place that will be remembered and remain forever close to their hearts!

Since 1979, Ballet Academy East has been a vibrant center for dance on Manhattan's Upper East Side. In 1978, Julia Dubno, the founder and director of Ballet Academy East was selected by Christine Fokine to run the Fokine Ballet School. That experience led to the opening of Ballet Academy East in a brownstone on East 79th Street with one small studio in 1979.
Today the school has five spacious studios and a world-renowned faculty and continues to flourish. Miss Dubno continues to oversee the day-to-day operations and is in close contact with the faculty in order to be kept abreast of all areas of the school.

Jorday Rivera is a remarkable woman who leads a double life. By day, Jorday is an honorary Pre Med. Graduate student at St. John's University. The head intern for the chief of cardiology at The Parkway Hospital for the past four years. Within the next six months Jorday will attend either NYU or Columbia Medical School. She will study Neonatal and later become a heart surgeon and open her own practice.

Capoeira Angola, an ancient martial art of African origin, is one of the many cultural weapons used to break the chains of enslavement in Brazil. Played close to the ground, Capoeira Angola combines fluid, dance-like movements with kicks, head butts, tripping sweeps and the appearance of playfulness or vulnerability. Music is played on traditional instruments to accompany the players, to teach the rhythmic heart of the art, and also to mask its power. In the eyes of the enslavers it appeared to be a joking and playful acrobatic dance, but eventually its power was realized and Capoeira was outlawed. Death was the penalty paid by those caught playing Capoeira during the slavery era. For almost 400 years Capoeira Angola was taught and practiced in secret, and only in the 1930's did this African martial art become legal to teach and practice.

The launching of a dance company in 2004 and expansion into the beautiful, spacious studios on Prospect Avenue is a longtime goal realized. The history of Santo Rico dates back to 1995. The name of the dance company is derived from the initial members of the group being half from Santo Domingo (Santo) and half from Puerto Rico (Rico), hence the name "Santo Rico." Santo Rico was initially formed by Wilton Beltre, a Dominican native, who expressed his love for dance by displaying his street style of dancing Mambo/Salsa in local nightclubs in New York City. Prior to forming Santo Rico, Wilton received dancing instruction from the well renowned Eddie Torres. This gave him professionalism, grace and ultimately led to the development of a unique style. During his stint with Mr. Torres Wilton excelled and brought his dancing ability to such a high level that he became one of the most outstanding members of The Eddie Torres Dance Company.

Ana Vitória é professora de Técnica de Dança Contemporânea e Composição Coreográfica de duas Universidades de dança na cidade do Rio de Janeiro.
Seus workshops de técnicas de dança objetivam conduzir os bailarinos à um um maior entendimento da linguagem utilizada por essa criadora, bem como fazê-los investigar através das ferramentas pós modernas utilizadas pela dança, novos contornos e possibilidades gestuais

A Academia Rose Mansur foi inaugurada em 1985. e nesses seus 23 anos de existência tem procurado sempre manter seus objetivos: “integrar a arte ao processo educacional, a fim de manter o mais alto padrão de ensino de dança”.

O Grupo de Dança Julia de Athayde começou a se formar em 2001, quando Julia de Athayde e sua mãe Marisa de Athayde coordenaram um projeto de dança de salão em um condomínio de Jacarepaguá. A turma do prédio, muito animada, auto denominou-se de Gazela Dourada e, foi assim que Grupo cresceu.
Em 2002 o GDJA começou a organizar bailes mensais no Quality Shopping. Bailes de Fim de Ano, Halloween, carnaval e aniversários.
Em 2006, o GDJA iniciou um projeto social com aulas de dança para as crianças carentes do AMAR - Associação do Menor Abandonado e Recuperado, em Duque de Caxias, incluindo trabalho voluntário e dança coreográfica infantil nas escolas.

Em agosto de 1991, Leonardo Wenceslau e Elaine Reis fundaram a Academia de Dança e Arte Pé de Valsa, concretizando o sonho de ter uma escola com uma nova didática no ensino da dança de salão. Nestes 18 anos de funcionamento, mais de 5 mil alunos já passaram pela Academia, que, hoje, tem dois endereços em Belo Horizonte: nos bairros Cidade Jardim e Carlos Prates.

Inaugurado em 1982, o Jazz Carlota Portella, é uma das mais conceituadas academias do Rio de Janeiro. Dirigida por Carlota Portella e Thereza Mascotte e contando com uma equipe de professores de alta qualidade, a academia vem desenvolvendo seriamente um trabalho artístico com seus alunos, cujo nível pode ser constatado nos diversos espetáculos realizados pela academia e pelo grupo profissional, a Cia. Trabalhando com os mais diversos estilos de dança, o Jazz Carlota Portella tem contribuido na formação artística de diversas pessoas e também na formação de profissionais da dança.

Bob Cunha foi semifinalista do IV Campeonato Mundial de Tango em Buenos Aires em 2006. Desenvolveu sua própria didática de ensino que consiste em alcançar desenvoltura em curto espaço de tempo. Já viajou para diversos países da Europa e Ásia divulgando a cultura brasileira e o tango argentino. Áurya Pires, iniciou seus estudos em 1994, tendo Bob Cunha como seu professor de danças de salão e tango. Em paralelo faz aulas de jazz, ballet e pilates para manutenção e preparo fícico.
