The Frank Ohman School of Ballet was founded in 1979 by Frank Ohman, former soloist at New York City Ballet (NYCB) and is one of the few remaining direct links to the teaching of George Balanchine. Currently located in Commack, the school serves as a training ground for promising young dancers and offers aspiring students the opportunity to learn classical ballet in the tradition of George Balanchine. The Frank Ohman School of Ballet will guide your child from first steps to advanced technique, while instilling joy for this timeless art form. The school is a non-competition, non-recital school focusing on proper classical technique.

What started in a Chelsea loft on 23rd Street has blossomed into a creative hub where classical training meets contemporary exploration. Eddie Zawacki cut his teeth at the legendary Balanchine school before building his own ballet company and a reputation that stretches across continents. His time in New York alongside David Howard brought performances featuring dancers from NYCB, ABT, and Joffrey Ballet to life, while guest teaching stints at Alvin Ailey refined his approach to movement and artistry. After testing his craft in London, Paris, and LA, he returned with fresh perspectives that continue to shape his teaching philosophy. Winter brings a particular intimacy to the studio space, where the focus narrows and dancers sink deeper into their technique without the distractions of outdoor season. Whether you're exploring choreographic work or building foundational skills, you're learning from someone whose career bridges the classical world with innovative artistic vision.

Founded by award winning Irish dancer Nicole Dimone T.C.R.G. At the young age of 6, Nicole was introduced to the world of Irish Dance by her grandmother, who instilled in her the love and appreciation for all things Irish. Nicole began her journey at the Inishfree School of Irish Dance, under the instruction of Neil and Sean Reagan. Nicole had the opportunity to attend several workshops given by Anthony Costello, a noted teacher and adjudicator from Limerick, Ireland. She then continued her dancing career at the Mulvihill Lynch School of Irish Dance.

We strive to afford all of our students an opportunity for creative self-expression without the unnecessary pressure of professional "competition." We believe that the confidence, poise, and enrichment dance provides is valuable to the development of all children, and that, above all, it should be a positive, rewarding, and fun learning experience. We believe that dance is an art form. It is meant to be enjoyed and celebrated.

Located just past McDonald's along Montauk Highway, there's plenty of parking without the hassle of hunting for a spot—especially convenient during those busy winter months when you're juggling multiple activities. The waiting areas are generously sized with flatscreen displays so you can settle in comfortably while catching glimpses of class time. What sets the place apart is the flooring itself: it's engineered with cushioning technology that absorbs impact from all those jumps and spins, keeping dancers' bodies protected through intensive routines.

Created by Dr. Anthony Knight, our purpose is to provide you with an exhilarating, joyful Latin & Ballroom dancing experience.<br> World class Ballroom and Latin Dance instructors are friendly and help you learn any style of Ballroom or Latin dancing. We offer Latin & Ballroom dance classes for men, women, children and couples. You can just dance for fun, take wedding dance lessons or train for the Olympics where Latin & Ballroom dance is part of the competition. <br> Dancing has many benefits including cardio fitness, losing weight, relieving stress, building confidence, coordination and self-discipline but the best part of dance is communication and contact with others. The Berest Dance Center has operated in Port Washington since 1976. It is family owned with Olga Berest as director and Heather Berest, joining her mom as artistic director in 2006. Lori Barone and Michele Cuccaro built something special across their two locations, crafting an atmosphere that pulses with creativity in every class. The choreography here pushes boundaries, blending fresh movement with technique that keeps students coming back. Winter brings a particular magic to the studio—there's something about retreating indoors to a space this vibrant when it's cold outside, where you can lose yourself completely in movement. The instructors genuinely care about what they're doing, and it shows in how they connect with each dancer in the room. Beth Jucovy has performed extensively and given workshops and classes in Duncan, ballet, modern, and jazz techniques both in the US and throughout Europe and Israel. She choreographs for and directs Dance Visions, a professional company performing works of contemporary choreographers, as well as the works of major dance pioneers. Dance Visions has been the recipient of over fifteen NYSCA decentralization grants. The company performs throughout Long Island and the NY metropolitan area. Beth also danced for a decade with Andrew Jannetti and Dancers, performing frequently at many NYC venues. She was a soloist with the Downtown Ballet Company for six years, as well as with Ameridance International, a jazz dance company based in Munich, Germany. She is an Isadora Duncan dance specialist trained since childhood by Julia Levien. She had also worked intensively with Anna Sokolow. She has received critical acclaim in the major NY papers as well as abroad for her performances

The foundation of any dance company is its energy and creative artistry. Here at IBC and The Lindt Ballet Theater, companies can be proud of the artistic directorship of Rosemarie Lindt-Piccolo who not only has brought with her experience in working with such legendary performers as Maurice Bejart, Roland Petit and Mathilde Kschessinskaya, but her training with the world famous Madame Nora Kiss forms a link to history's greatest dancers such as Pavlova and Carlotta Brianza. Ms. Lindt-Piccolo has also studied with the great choreographer Kurt Jooss, and has extensively studied various dance forms such as Classical Spanish, Modern Tap, Pas de Deux, and the Rudolf von Laban method of Kinetography.

Located in New York City’s Greenwich Village, was founded in 1953 by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino to develop and train professional dancers. The School continues to strive for the founders’ vision of dance based on rigorous classical training that is imbued with a sense of movement, clarity and exuberant energy.<br> In more than fifty years of existence, the Joffrey Ballet School has remained on the forefront of American dance education. Graduates of the School have gone on to dance for major classical ballet companies, as well as for numerous modern and contemporary companies, both in the United States and abroad.

The School reflects the spirit of the Mark Morris Dance Group in its celebration of dance and music. Diva Dance is a studio that sets itself apart from the rest. We offer a fun and friendly atmosphere with super Diva style that offers dance classes to ages 1 1/2 through adult. Class Levels range from beginner level just starting out in the world of dance all the way to professional level of training for the serious dancer. Diva Dance offers so many classes on six different days making it easier to fit your busy schedule. A non-profit organization dedicated to extending the dream, dance legacy, and indomitable spirit of Isadora Duncan. The Foundation is based in New York City and supports the work of its resident performing troupe, Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company. The Company offers hundreds of performances annually of Isadora's original choreography as passed down through generations of Duncan dancers, in addition to new works, educational workshops and creative programs that nurture the soul and lift the spirit.
