Spring 2012 brings a look at the political application of the museum as they delve into Japan’s role with the United Nations, and the healing and rebuilding process facing Japan after their multiple catastrophes over the last several years. The museum features the most comprehensive collection of Russian imperial art outside of Russia and a world-renowned collection of eighteenth-century French decorative art and furnishings. Em 1991, o Prefeito Hugo Rodrigues Cunha iniciou um projeto de restauração do prédio da estação e outras dependências em ruína, para instalar o "Centro de Pesquisas Paleontológicas Llewellyn Ivor Price". Preservadas suas características originais, a antiga estação, hoje restaurada, abriga um laboratório de preparação de fósseis e um atraente museu paleontológico, aberto à visitação pública. Dois outros imóveis foram transformados em residências para hospedar pesquisadores.

A very intriguing throwback to the past is the Queens County Farm Museum. Located on the largest undisturbed tract of farmland, the museum is the only continuously worked farm site left in New York City. Visitors have an opportunity to forget the busy life of the city and instead enjoy the rural atmosphere through a variety of activities designed to give patrons an idea of how farm life used to be in New York. The museum itself is rich in activities, as visitors can do just about anything involving farm life. Interacting with livestock, a working greenhouse and guided exploration of the historic farm buildings are all part of the experience. The museum also plays host to many guest presentations, including representatives of the Native Americans originally in New York, the Queens County Fair and several antique car and motorcycle road shows. Starting in Spring 2012, the farm is offering hayrides which encompasses the entire compound and make you feel like one of the farmers back in the agricultural heyday. The Columbia County Historical Society is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the history and culture of Columbia County, New York.
It is the Society's goal to encourage understanding, knowledge, and preservation of the County's heritage through the acquisition and conservation of historic lands, buildings, objects and documents, and through the sponsorship of research, publications, exhibitions, and educational programs.

Confederate veterans of Louisiana founded Memorial Hall, also known as the Confederate Museum, in New Orleans in 1891 as a repository for their memorabilia from the War Between the States. These veterans and their families have donated more than 90% of the artifacts preserved and now exhibited in Memorial Hall. Ninety thousand of their war-related documents are housed on permanent loan at Tulane University and are available for research purposes. Thanks to the foresight of these men, their valuable relics and stories have been preserved for more than a century in our historic museum.

Four floors of over forty galleries of art are rotated regularly with works from antiquity to the present in the Museum's far-reaching Collection. Included in the Collection are 15th- to 20th-century European and 17th- to 20th-century American paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, decorative arts, photographs, and folk and self-taught art. Among the best in the nation are the Museum’s holding of American decorative arts, German Expressionism, folk and Haitian art, and American art after 1960. The Museum also holds one of the largest collections of works by Wisconsin native Georgia O’Keeffe.

O Arquivo Histórico Judaico de Pernambuco instalou-se, em dezembro de 2001, no Museu Sinagoga Kahal Zur Israel. Responsável pelas ações museológicas do espaço, constituiu-se como uma associação civil de direito privado, sem fins lucrativos, filiado à Federação Israelita de Pernambuco.
É parceiro também das unidades do Museu Judaico do Rio de Janeiro , Arquivo Histórico Judaico Brasileiro em São Paulo, Instituto Histórico Israelita Mineiro em Belo Horizonte-MG , Instituto Marc Chagal em Porto Alegre –RS, entre outros.

O Paço Imperial é um Centro Cultural com rica programação artística, localizado na Praça XV de Novembro, no centro histórico da cidade, no prédio considerado o mais importante dos edifícios civis coloniais do Brasil. Foi primeiro a residência dos governadores da Capitania do Rio de Janeiro e depois passou a ser a casa de despachos, sucessivamente, do Vice-Rei do Brasil, do Rei de Portugal Dom João VI e dos imperadores do Brasil. Em sua restauração, na reconstituição da fachada, optou-se pela feição colonial, adquirida particularmente no período da ocupação pela Família Real Portuguesa, mas foram preservadas marcas e formas de vários outros momentos históricos. O Paço Imperial conta com uma diversificada programação de artes plásticas, cinema, teatro, música, biblioteca, atividades educativas, seminários, serviços de lojas e restaurantes. Percorrê-lo é fazer uma releitura do tempo inscrito em seus espaços, relacionando-os com épocas e fatos ocorridos. As exposições permanentes também são um ótimo programa cultural.

This mansion was built in 1773 by James Mitchell Varnum, a lawyer who entered the Revolutionary War and served as one of General George Washington's Continental Army Brigadier Generals. Varnum was later Major General in command of the entire Rhode Island Militia. The museum is furnished with period furniture and features many historic artifacts.

O Instituto Oceanográfico da Universidade de São Paulo (lO-USP) foi fundado em 1946, como Instituto Paulista de Oceanografia. Em 1951, mudou para seu nome atual quando foi incorporado à USP. Na época de fundação, os objetivos de seus idealizadores apontavam para a necessidade de uma instituição que fornecesse bases científicas à pesca e, numa concepção mais ampla, à exploração de todos os recursos disponíveis ao longo do litoral paulista.

Construído em 1914, com o objetivo de reforçar a defesa da Baía de Guanabara, o Forte de Copacabana oferece aos seus visitantes muitas curiosidades e atrações. No Museu Histórico do Exército, fatos marcantes estão registrados através de exposições, exibições de vídeo, maquetes e, até, um setor interativo, original e bastante visitado pelos freqüentadores do Forte. O Museu Casa de Portinari foi instalado e inaugurado em 14 de março de 1970, constituindo-se de uma casa principal, dois anexos e uma capela.
A sua entidade mantenedora é a Secretaria de Estado da Cultura, estando especificamente vinculado ao DEMA - Departamento de Museus e Arquivos da referida Secretaria.
A inclusão do Museu Casa de Portinari na Rede de Museus da Secretaria da Cultura do Estado deu-se através do Decreto de 08 de abril de 1970.

O Museu do Homem Sergipano, aberto ao público em novembro de 1996, surgiu a partir da visão de que além das funções básicas (guardar, preservar e divulgar bens culturais), funciona como um dos caminhos mas profícuos para a divulgação das produções acadêmicas. É composto de uma mostra permanente (sobre o Homem Sergipano) e várias outras mostras temporárias, que são montadas de acordo com o calendário cultural brasileiro e sergipano, além de mostras intinerantes que nos são solicitadas.
A mostra permanente sobre o Homem sergipano foi baseada no livro publicado pelos Departamentos de História e Ciências Sociais intitulado "Textos para a História de Sergipe", além de material resultante do PAX - Projeto Arqueológico Xingó, que ilustra a fase da pré-história do nosso Estado. Também conhecimentos dos Departamento de Geografia, Economia e Engenharia Agronômica.

Uma instituição sem fins lucrativos, aberta ao público, e que se destina à coleta, inventário, documentação, preservação, segurança, exposição e comunicação de seu acervo. Vinculado à Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação (PRPPG), o MA é um órgão suplementar da UFG, e tem em seu caráter dinâmico e pedagógico, suas principais características.

A Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa tem sede na casa onde residiu o grande jurista e intelectual brasileiro entre 1895 e 1923, data de sua morte. Comprada pelo governo brasileiro em 1924, juntamente com a biblioteca, os arquivos e a propriedade intelectual das obras de Rui Barbosa, a casa foi aberta ao público como museu - o primeiro museu-casa do Brasil - em 1930.

O Museu Judaico do Rio de Janeiro, fundado em 1977, com a doação de uma menorá (candelabro de sete braços, um dos principais símbolos do judaísmo), é um centro cultural dinâmico, integrado à vida da cidade com atividades estruturadas em torno do binômio preservação da memória/dinamização da cultura judaica.

Inaugurado em 7 de janeiro de 1997, o Museu Antártico mostra um pouco da vida no continente gelado e a significativa presença do Brasil na Antártica. Anexo ao Museu Oceanográfico, o prédio do Museu Antártico constitui-se de uma reprodução das primeiras instalações da Estação Antártica "Comandante Ferraz". Seu acervo conta com diversos painéis, otimizados por fotos que detalham a história da conquista daquele continente, a dinâmica dos mares e vida no Pólo Sul, bem como o esforço brasileiro em manter uma base num ambiente tão inóspito. Estão incluídas na sua exposição, alguns objetos utilizados pelos brasileiros e amostras geológicas e biológicas da Antártica.

The DOCKYARD MUSEUM in the Naval Officer's House interprets the story of English Harbour and of the people that toiled in this famous Georgian Royal Naval Yard. It also explains the 20th century return of sailing ships and the aims and aspirations of Nelson's Dockyard National Park. There is also a small "Nelson's Room" with a life sized portrait of Nelson researched through archaeological means.
