Located in Valcourt, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, the Musée Bombardier presents the life and work of the great inventor and entrepreneur Joseph-Armand Bombardier. This privately funded museum also describes the evolution of the snowmobile industry, in large part launched by this Quebec visionary.

The Children’s Museum is developmentally appropriate for elementary aged children and younger, however we find that some older children enjoy the museum when accompanying younger visitors. The Canadian Clock Museum opened to the public in Deep River, Ontario in late May of 2000 as Canada's only clock museum. This non-profit, private museum operates as a federal corporation dedicated to preserving and promoting the products and history of Canada's many clock manufacturers and sellers from the early 1800s to current times.
A major collection focus is on clocks made by The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Company (Berlin/Kitchener, Ontario, ca. 1904-1941), Westclox Canada (Peterborough, Ontario, ca. 1920-mid 1980s), and Harry Snider's two companies (Toronto, 1950-1876).

This sprawling museum is home to an enormous collection of exhibits that give the visitor an opportunity to feel like they are a piece of the bigger picture. The North Carolina Museum of Art's collection spans more than 5,000 years, from ancient Egypt to the present. The ancient collection includes Egyptian funerary art and important examples of sculpture and vase painting from the Greek and Roman worlds. The collection of European paintings and sculpture from the Renaissance through impressionism is internationally celebrated with important works by Giotto, Sandro Botticelli, Raphael, Anthony van Dyck, Peter Paul Rubens, Antonio Canova and Claude Monet. American art of the 18th and 19th centuries features paintings by John Singleton Copley, Thomas Cole, Winslow Homer, Thomas Eakins and William Merritt Chase. Historic Cold Spring Village is an Early American open-air living history museum. The Village brings to life the day-to-day activities of villagers living in South Jersey during the “age of homespun.” (1790-1840). Visitors can make a personal connection between the past and present through the interactive, educational, and hands-on family activities. The Staten Island Museum has a fun selection of exhibits that document the art, natural science and history that surrounds Staten Island. O Museu Judaico do Rio de Janeiro, fundado em 1977, com a doação de uma menorá (candelabro de sete braços, um dos principais símbolos do judaísmo), é um centro cultural dinâmico, integrado à vida da cidade com atividades estruturadas em torno do binômio preservação da memória/dinamização da cultura judaica.

O Instituto Ciência Hoje (ICH) é uma organização social de interesse público sem fins lucrativos vinculada à Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência (SBPC).
O site Ciência Hoje On-line é uma iniciativa pioneira de divulgação científica na internet brasileira. Além de disponibilizar parte do conteúdo das publicações do ICH, o site publica notícias exclusivas atualizadas diariamente que oferecem ao leitor uma cobertura dinâmica da atualidade científica no Brasil e no mundo.
Em 2007, foi lançado, em parceria com o Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas, o livro Física Hoje - Uma aventura pela natureza: dos átomos ao universo, que reúne 11 artigos escritos por renomados pesquisadores brasileiros e originalmente publicados na revista Ciência Hoje ao longo de 2005, em comemoração ao Ano Mundial da Física.
O ICH atua também na divulgação científica em meios audiovisuais: o Instituto promoveu a realização do programa de televisão Tome Ciência, uma série semanal que abordou de forma acessível temas de ciência e tecnologia.. Em outubro de 2004, o ICH se uniu à Rede Globo na campanha Ciência Vale a Pena.

Em 1822, D. Pedro I, viajando em direção a Vila Rica, Minas Gerais, para buscar apoio ao movimento da nossa Independência, encantou-se com a Mata Atlântica e o clima ameno da região serrana. Hospedou-se na Fazenda do Padre Correia e chegou a fazer uma oferta para comprá-la. Diante da recusa da proprietária, D. Pedro comprou a Fazenda do Córrego Seco, em 1830, por 20 contos de réis, pensando em transformá-la um dia no Palácio da Concórdia.

O Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo (MAC USP) tem em seu acervo cerca de 8.000 obras, entre óleos, desenhos, gravuras, esculturas, objetos e trabalhos conceituais, constituindo grande patrimônio cultural com decorrências sociais nacionais e internacionais. São obras de artistas como Anita Malfatti, Di Cavalcanti, Brecheret, Tarsila, Rego Monteiro, Portinari, Oiticica, De Chirico, Modigliani, Boccioni, Picasso, Chagall, entre tantos outros.

Ali viveu Francisco José de Oliveira Viana, um dos maiores nomes da sociologia nacional, nascido em 1883 e falecido em 1951. Sua biblioteca, especializada em sociologia, história, política e economia, consta de 15 mil obras que servem de material de consulta.

Construída por volta de 1860, pelo médico José Martins Rocha, a casa é vendida ao Industrial Português José Francisco Correia - Visconde de Sande e depois Conde de Agrolongo (Títulos recebidos em Portugal).
Em 1903, o Conde retira-se para Portugal e põe a residência a leilão com todos os seus pertences, não aparecendo comprador. Pela mesma época a Capital era transferida de Petrópolis para Niterói e o Governador Nilo Peçanha resolveu adquirir o palacete para sede do governo, consumando-se a venda em 1904. Durante os 71 anos seguintes, teve o Palácio, 43 ocupantes entre governadores interinos e interventores federais.

O Museu Aeroespacial foi inaugurado em 18 de outubro de 1976. A importância dessa criação deve-se à necessidade de preservação e divulgação do material aeronáutico e documentos históricos para as futuras gerações. Situado no Campo dos Afonsos, "Berço da Aviação Militar", atualmente o Museu Aeroespacial integra o Campus da Universidade da Força Aérea – UNIFA. O Museu Aeroespacial recebe, em média, 10.000 mil visitantes por ano, com tipologia e faixa etária variadas. Desde o estudante que vem só ou em grupos escolares, até o mais aficionado pesquisador sobre o assunto, são freqüentadores assíduos do Museu, com objetivos diferentes, mas sempre com grande interesse, já que aviação desperta ao público em geral, uma grande atração.

O Museu de Arte do Rio - MAR está instalado na Praça Mauá, em dois prédios de perfis heterogêneos e interligados: o Palacete Dom João VI, tombado e eclético, e o edifício vizinho, de estilo modernista – originalmente um terminal rodoviário. O antigo palacete abriga as salas de exposição do museu. O prédio vizinho é o espaço da Escola do Olhar, que é um ambiente para produção e provocação de experiências, coletivas e pessoais, com foco principal na formação de educadores da rede pública de ensino. o MAR promove uma leitura transversal da história da cidade, seu tecido social, sua vida simbólica, conflitos, contradições, desafios e expectativas sociais. Suas exposições unem dimensões históricas e contemporâneas da arte por meio de mostras de longa e curta duração, de âmbito nacional e internacional. O museu surge também com a missão de inscrever a arte no ensino público, por meio da Escola do Olhar.

The DOCKYARD MUSEUM in the Naval Officer's House interprets the story of English Harbour and of the people that toiled in this famous Georgian Royal Naval Yard. It also explains the 20th century return of sailing ships and the aims and aspirations of Nelson's Dockyard National Park. There is also a small "Nelson's Room" with a life sized portrait of Nelson researched through archaeological means.
