Vermont Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, aka VT BJJ, offers outstanding programs dedicated to quality and professionalism. VT BJJ offers traditional, legitimate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction in a friendly and positive environment. All are welcome. There are also programs for men, women and children, as well as seminars and private lessons. Specialized curriculum for police and military training also available. Located conveniently in Williston, part of the greater Burlington area in Chittenden County.

Aikido of Champlain Valley is a 501(c)(3) federal non-profit educational institution committed to teaching traditional Aikido in Vermont by providing safe, focused and enjoyable training. Aikido of Champlain Valley schedules weekend seminars in Aikido and Iaido with guest instructors from around the world. We also offer classes in zazen (Zen meditation), Iaido (sword arts) and Aiki-weapons (sword and staff). An intensive training program is also available for qualifying students.

Vermont Taekwon-Do Academy nurtures the positive attitudes and spirits of its students while addressing individual physical challenges. Students are taught to continually strive to uphold the five tenets of Taekwon-Do (courtesy, integrity, perserverence, self control, and indomitable spirit) while they are at the Dojang, as well as during their every day lives. Vermont Taekwon-Do Academy services the student as a whole regardless of age, ability or background.

Okinawa Karate Kobudo Kai is an organization dedicated to traditional training in Okinawan kenpo karate and kobudo based in Long Island, New York. The chief instructor is Sensei Serge Clark.

The man most responsible for the systemization of Karate as we know it today was Gichin Funakoshi. He was born in Shuri, Okinawa in 1886. When he was only a boy of 11, he began to study (then known as "Okinawa-te") under the top two masters of the art at the time. Azato and Itosu. In time, he became a Karate expert in his own right. He is credited with being the first man to introduce Karate to Japan proper, when he gave expositions sponsored by the Ministry of Education. The art soon caught on in Japan, and Funakoshi traveled throughout the country giving lectures and demonstrations. The main universities invited him to help them set up Karate teams, and hundreds of persons studies the art under his guidance. In 1957, Master Funakoshi, the father of modern Karate, passed away at the advanced age of 89, leaving thousands of students to carry his spirit. In Karate, Funakoshi was also a poet under his pen name "Shoto:, meaning "Pine trees in the sand" The style of karate which is taught then became known as "Shotokan Karate".

Bob Klein began studying healing, meditation, Tai-chi and Kung-fu since the 1960’s. <br> He received his Tai-chi-Chuan teaching certificate from Grandmaster William C. C. Chen in 1975. He also studied with healers from several nature-oriented cultures.

Personal Best One on One was founded September 19, 1998 on the Premise of providing the highest quality training in a supportive atmosphere with the best equipment. <br> Why as a client should you have to fight general members to get to the equipment you paid for? Never a wait here. Over the last 11 years the have been at least a dozen equipment upgrades before finally settling with 30 pieces of Medx the (Rolls Royce of the fitness and Medical community), Hammer Strength (used by every professional and college sports program) and several pieces of Re-engineered Classic Nautilus. Of course we also have dumbbells and benches.

Offering specialized adults, teens, childrens and little_dragons classes that range from traditional form, kicking and sparring classes to cardio workouts and body toning for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.

Kyokushin Karate New York City is the only Headquarters- Direct branch of the I.K.O. Kyokushinkaikan outside of Japan. This school was officially authorized by Grand Master Mas Oyama in 1994 and Shihan Katsuhito Gorai was the last Branch Representative to be appointed personally by the legendary founder himself before his untimely death that same year.

Porta's Karate-Do & Kobudo Academy was established in 1966 by Sensei John Porta. The Academy offers programs in three martial arts: Karate, Kobudo (traditional Okinawan weapons), and Tai Chi Chuan. Sensei Porta holds an 8th degree black belt in Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate, and was awarded the rank of Kyoshi. Wuwei Tai Chi teaches Taijiquan (Taichi-chuan, Taichi) in the Chen, Yang, and Wu styles. Teacher Won Park specializes in the barehand forms, pushhands, swords and spears.
