A Associação Cultural Incomodança surge em 2004, à priori, com o intuito de servir como base legal e estrututral ao trabalho desenvolvido pela Incomodança Cia de Danças de Salão, por meio da criação de uma sede em que o corpo de baile pudesse fixar suas raízes e se desenvolver de forma mais livre e contínua.
A partir do caráter social que a entidade associação possui, surgiu a idéia de se trabalhar de forma autônoma um terceiro pilar: o social. Propondo um projeto assistencial a crianças e jovens em situação de risco social. O Incomodança Solidária, projeto em fase de elaboração, propõe utilizar a dança de salão como ferramenta para a inserção social dos menores de forma ampla, proporcionando-lhes uma atividade lúdica, um momento de desenvolvimento da socialização, do respeito ao próximo e até mesmo apresentar-lhes a dança de salão enquanto uma profissão em potencial, a de professor de dança ou bailarino.
A Incomodança acredita no potencial dessa arte, na capacidade que a dança de salão tem de resgate da humanidade, da identidade sócio-cultural e por isso enxerga-a não como um produto, mas sim como uma filosofia de vida. Esperamos contagiar a todos com nossa vontade de servir como atores sociais e contribuir para a transformação do quadro social que se apresenta hoje em Belo Horizonte, em Minas e no Brasil. Melissa Marotto has been dancing for over 20 years, beginning her dance training at The Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts. She earned her BFA in dance with a concentration in pedagogy from The Boston Conservatory, where she revived the historical work for Jose Limon with Jennifer Scanlon and worked with contemporary choreographers such as Donald Byrd and Sean Curran. With a strong background in ballet, Ms. Marotto has also studied Graham, Horton, Limon, and Simonson techniques with certified instructors from all over the country.

A non-profit organization dedicated to extending the dream, dance legacy, and indomitable spirit of Isadora Duncan. The Foundation is based in New York City and supports the work of its resident performing troupe, Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company. The Company offers hundreds of performances annually of Isadora's original choreography as passed down through generations of Duncan dancers, in addition to new works, educational workshops and creative programs that nurture the soul and lift the spirit.

In 1978, Julia Dubno, the founder and director of Ballet Academy East was selected by Christine Fokine to run the Fokine Ballet School. That experience led to the opening of Ballet Academy East in a brownstone on East 79th Street with one small studio in 1979.
Today the school has five spacious studios and a world-renowned faculty and continues to flourish. Miss Dubno continues to oversee the day-to-day operations and is in close contact with the faculty in order to be kept abreast of all areas of the school. |

The Berest Dance Center has operated in Port Washington since 1976. It is family owned with Olga Berest as director and Heather Berest, joining her mom as artistic director in 2006. (See article and pix below)

Founded by artistic director Diana Byer in 1978 as the official training school of New York Theatre Ballet. The School teaches dance as a total art form, developing strong technical skill and discipline…fluidity and ease of movement…and a strong sense of theater, style, musicality, and expression. It is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the great ballet mistress Margaret Craske. She was certified by Enrico Cecchetti and served as director of instruction at BSNY for many years until her retirement in 1987.

Muito bem montada por seu idealizador e diretor, Fávio Salles, a Academia do Tap, inaugurada em 12 de março de 1992, o Rio de Janeiro ganhou a única escola especializada em ensino do sapateado norte-americano do Rio de Janeiro.

Iniciativa bem sucedida, o Centro de Dança de Jacarepaguá foi criado em 2003,
como resultado da parceria entre as Professoras Sueli Grabinska
e Paloma Collaço e tem o objetivo de proporcionar a ampla divulgação
da arte da dança.

O início das atividades do Professor de Danças João Piccoli, deu-se através de sua primeira mestra e tia Maria Antonieta.
João contribuiu junto a profissionais e alunos da respeitadíssima Escola de Danças de Carlinhos de Jesus a desenvolver a maior coreografia a dois já mostrado em carnaval com 25 casais dançando na ala de gafieira. João, também, esteve presente com seus alunos em trabalhos realizados em teatros, programas de televisão e eventos institucionais. |

Criada em 1985, a Escola recebeu, inicialmente, o nome de Escola de Dança Chiquinha Gonzaga. Posteriormente, mudou de nome, em homenagem a Maria Antonieta, professora de Jaime Arôxa. Em 1986, já com 800 alunos, tornou-se oficialmente a Escola de Dança e Centro Cultural Jaime Arôxa, de acordo com alguns, um pequeno paraíso no meio da selva de pedra carioca

O Studio de Ballet Bertha Rosanova foi fundado em 1957 numa vila em Laranjeiras, onde está localizado até hoje. É uma escola de dança especializada em ballet clássico, dirigida pela prima bailarina absoluta do Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, Bertha Rosanova. O Studio oferece aulas para alunos a partir dos 3 anos de idade e sua estrutura educacional é dividida em 6 níveis. A equipe atual de professores é composta por bailarinos do Theatro Municipal e os formados na própria escola.

A Luna Llena Danças, foi fundada em 1999 por Suraya Helayel, bailarina, professora e coreógrafa de Flamenco, a partir do grupo Luna Llena. Vem difundindo a cultura flamenca em Niterói, apresentando suas músicas, ensinando suas danças e mantendo vivos estilos e tradições.

O Ponto da Dança é atualmente uma das escolas de dança de salão de maior destaque em Belo Horizonte.

Nosso espaço é composto por quatro salas bem decoradas, banheiros, recepção e bar. São aproximadamente 300 m² de puro charme e bom gosto. Cores alegres e vibrantes criam um clima festivo, e a iluminação permite adaptar o espaço às aulas e aos bailes. Além da localização privilegiada, para maior segurança e comodidade dos alunos, há estacionamento com manobrista no próprio prédio.
Nas turmas regulares, são trabalhados cinco ritmos: samba, bolero, soltinho, forró e roda de cassino, que é a salsa dançada em roda. Há também turmas especiais para o ensino exclusivo de tango, salsa, forró e zouk - todas igualmente orientadas por excelentes profissionais e assistentes muito bem treinados.
Juntamente com sua equipe, ao acreditar e investir no seu sonho de transmitir às pessoas o prazer da dança e a alegria de ter o corpo e a alma em harmonia, o professor e proprietário da escola, Giovanni Isoni, fez do Ponto da Dança um lugar mais do que especial.
