Founded under the basis of love and adoration for dance. From the very first class taught in 2003, each studio room, faculty member, and student wreaked the passion for dance. Owner Stefanie Salaman has devoted herself to building a studio of excellence and pure respect to the dance education. The dance educators at Performers Edge are dedicated to giving each and every student the personal attention they deserve and support they need to continue as well as enjoy their dance experience. <br> Performers Edge is located in the heart of Throgs Neck where there is much of a family oriented environment. Our waiting room and office are located in the front of the building so help can always be attained and a family, fun atmosphere set.

Established in 1986, Deneille's Dance & Exercise Studio opened it's doors with the intension of teaching each and every single student on an individual basis; concentrating on a students particular strenghts and interests offering a complete and quality curriculum in all areas of dance. 23 years later while the world has changed in many ways our standard of excellence remains. Although we have adapted to the modern world, we still insist on teaching and training with a good old fashined touch; that includes knowing every one of our students by their first name and knowing something special about them. At Deneille's Dance & Exercise Studio we are NEVER short on happiness, and pride ourselves on providing superior training to all our students. The foundation of any dance company is its energy and creative artistry. Here at IBC and The Lindt Ballet Theater, companies can be proud of the artistic directorship of Rosemarie Lindt-Piccolo who not only has brought with her experience in working with such legendary performers as Maurice Bejart, Roland Petit and Mathilde Kschessinskaya, but her training with the world famous Madame Nora Kiss forms a link to history's greatest dancers such as Pavlova and Carlotta Brianza. Ms. Lindt-Piccolo has also studied with the great choreographer Kurt Jooss, and has extensively studied various dance forms such as Classical Spanish, Modern Tap, Pas de Deux, and the Rudolf von Laban method of Kinetography.

Boasting a team of award winning instructors recognized not only through competitions, but by the Bronx Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children for the quality instruction, love and positive reinforcement they give to the children they teach!! Fancy Feet Instructors give back to the community by donating their time and expertise to the local schools. <br> Fancy Feet boasts a director with thirty six years of teaching experience, twenty nine years in business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance, Drama and Theater, who trains every instructor in her philosophy and style of teaching. This is done to provide your child with top notch quality and professionalism.

Located in New York City’s Greenwich Village, was founded in 1953 by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino to develop and train professional dancers. The School continues to strive for the founders’ vision of dance based on rigorous classical training that is imbued with a sense of movement, clarity and exuberant energy.<br> In more than fifty years of existence, the Joffrey Ballet School has remained on the forefront of American dance education. Graduates of the School have gone on to dance for major classical ballet companies, as well as for numerous modern and contemporary companies, both in the United States and abroad.

The School reflects the spirit of the Mark Morris Dance Group in its celebration of dance and music. We believe that the study of various dance forms and music is essential to a child's education and development. We offer a diverse range of classes for all ages and strive to be a center of creative activity for children, community residents and professional dancers. <br> In addition to incorporating music and singing courses, we are now able to offer more classes overall with the opening of our newest ground floor studio. The recently expanded space also includes a lobby reception desk, ground floor lounge area, bathrooms, and locker rooms. <br> Remember, we offer flexible enrollment plans - per semester or in advance for the full year - to fit your family's needs. If you enroll your child for both semesters at the beginning of the fall season, you recieve a special discount. And at the end of each semester, we have open classes which parents are welcome to attend.

Diva Dance is a studio that sets itself apart from the rest. We offer a fun and friendly atmosphere with super Diva style that offers dance classes to ages 1 1/2 through adult. Class Levels range from beginner level just starting out in the world of dance all the way to professional level of training for the serious dancer. Diva Dance offers so many classes on six different days making it easier to fit your busy schedule. Classes include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Mommy & Me, Belly Dancing, Salsa, Mommy Jazz Funk, Hip-Hop, Acro, Broadway Jazz/Tap, All Boys Classes, Contemporary, and our award winning Diva Dance competition team.

A non-profit organization dedicated to extending the dream, dance legacy, and indomitable spirit of Isadora Duncan. The Foundation is based in New York City and supports the work of its resident performing troupe, Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company. The Company offers hundreds of performances annually of Isadora's original choreography as passed down through generations of Duncan dancers, in addition to new works, educational workshops and creative programs that nurture the soul and lift the spirit.

The Frank Ohman School of Ballet was founded in 1979 by Frank Ohman, former soloist at New York City Ballet (NYCB) and is one of the few remaining direct links to the teaching of George Balanchine. Currently located in Commack, the school serves as a training ground for promising young dancers and offers aspiring students the opportunity to learn classical ballet in the tradition of George Balanchine. The Frank Ohman School of Ballet will guide your child from first steps to advanced technique, while instilling joy for this timeless art form. The school is a non-competition, non-recital school focusing on proper classical technique.

Eddie Zawacki cut his teeth at the legendary Balanchine school before building his own ballet company and a reputation that stretches across continents. His time in New York alongside David Howard brought performances featuring dancers from NYCB, ABT, and Joffrey Ballet to life, while guest teaching stints at Alvin Ailey refined his approach to movement and artistry. After testing his craft in London, Paris, and LA, he returned with fresh perspectives that continue to shape his teaching philosophy. Winter brings a particular intimacy to the studio space, where the focus narrows and dancers sink deeper into their technique without the distractions of outdoor season. Founded by award winning Irish dancer Nicole Dimone T.C.R.G. At the young age of 6, Nicole was introduced to the world of Irish Dance by her grandmother, who instilled in her the love and appreciation for all things Irish. Nicole began her journey at the Inishfree School of Irish Dance, under the instruction of Neil and Sean Reagan. Nicole had the opportunity to attend several workshops given by Anthony Costello, a noted teacher and adjudicator from Limerick, Ireland. She then continued her dancing career at the Mulvihill Lynch School of Irish Dance.

We strive to afford all of our students an opportunity for creative self-expression without the unnecessary pressure of professional "competition." We believe that the confidence, poise, and enrichment dance provides is valuable to the development of all children, and that, above all, it should be a positive, rewarding, and fun learning experience. We believe that dance is an art form. It is meant to be enjoyed and celebrated.

Created by Dr. Anthony Knight, our purpose is to provide you with an exhilarating, joyful Latin & Ballroom dancing experience.<br> World class Ballroom and Latin Dance instructors are friendly and help you learn any style of Ballroom or Latin dancing. We offer Latin & Ballroom dance classes for men, women, children and couples. You can just dance for fun, take wedding dance lessons or train for the Olympics where Latin & Ballroom dance is part of the competition. <br> Dancing has many benefits including cardio fitness, losing weight, relieving stress, building confidence, coordination and self-discipline but the best part of dance is communication and contact with others. The Berest Dance Center has operated in Port Washington since 1976. It is family owned with Olga Berest as director and Heather Berest, joining her mom as artistic director in 2006. (See article and pix below) <br> Housed in a beautiful Dutch Colonial purchased by the Berests in 1996, The Center includes 3 floors of studios flanked by decorated tin walls and ceilings, 2 bathrooms dressing and waiting room areas and a kitchen.

The instructors genuinely care about what they're doing, and it shows in how they connect with each dancer in the room. Beth Jucovy has performed extensively and given workshops and classes in Duncan, ballet, modern, and jazz techniques both in the US and throughout Europe and Israel. She choreographs for and directs Dance Visions, a professional company performing works of contemporary choreographers, as well as the works of major dance pioneers. Dance Visions has been the recipient of over fifteen NYSCA decentralization grants. The company performs throughout Long Island and the NY metropolitan area. Beth also danced for a decade with Andrew Jannetti and Dancers, performing frequently at many NYC venues. She was a soloist with the Downtown Ballet Company for six years, as well as with Ameridance International, a jazz dance company based in Munich, Germany. She is an Isadora Duncan dance specialist trained since childhood by Julia Levien. She had also worked intensively with Anna Sokolow. She has received critical acclaim in the major NY papers as well as abroad for her performances
