Libby's Torrington Furniture was started over 78 years ago by David Libby and Jack Apter. David became sole owner of the store in 1950. In 1968 David moved the store to its' current location at 104 Main Street. His sons Harry and Jerry joined the family business and eventually took over the store, and have continued to provide the best in sales and service for their customers.

Most people associate the name Aga with good food and fine living. And although it’s often thought of as quintessentially British, the Aga actually began life in Sweden. The celebrated cooker found in 750,000 households worldwide was invented by Dr Gustav Dalén, a blind Nobel Prize-winning physicist. Appalled that his wife and their maid had to constantly tend to their old-fashioned range, Dalén set out to design a modern cooker that would look after itself. It’s unlikely Dalén could have predicted that his invention would go on to be widely acclaimed as a design icon, but it has. reGeneration is a ten-year-old store dealing in Mid-Century vintage furniture, with a focus on the 50's. The store specializes in vintage pieces from American and Danish designers, such as Florence Knoll, George Nelson, Edward Wormley, Jens Risom, Milo Baughman, Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen and Borg Mogensen. The store combines a large selection of everyday pieces with hard to find collectibles, but what really makes it unique among Mid-Century outlets is the consistency in selection, style and price.

Patio.com’s grass-root origins predate the dot-com era. The company (now owned by three brothers raised in Westport, CT) was founded by David Ross 25 years ago. In August 1893, John Willis, Jr. opened his first furniture store on Church Street, opposite St. Paul's church in downtown Norfolk. In 1901, he moved to the comer of Main and Church Streets in Norfolk in the Purcell Building that had been a hotel at one time. In 1912, he was the first occupant of the Mastin Building, later to become Smith and Welton Department Store.
