The Norton Museum of Art is a major cultural attraction in Florida. It's squadron of flight ready aircraft include a B-17 Flying Fortress in the markings of the famous Memphis Belle, a twin engine Mitchell bomber, the famous P-40 Warhawk, with its tiger mouth markings and more. The museum also offers a control tower retrofitted to the 1940's, a hangar whose design is reminiscent of Pearl Harbor on the eve of war and access to a fleet of vintage automobiles and trucks that add to the ambiance of this vivid chapter of American history.
The museum sits five minutes south of the Long Island Expressway at Republic Airport, which is a state owned general aviation airport. It is minutes from the Farmingdale Long Island Railroad station. The National D-Day Museum is made up of four sections, each containing a different exhibit. A variety of artifacts, testimonies and documents, particularly those chronicling the World War II period, are on display. There is a permanent exhibit, as well as temporary exhibits and electronic exhibits, all of which transport visitors back to that time in history. In addition, two movies are screened several times daily in the museum's Malcolm S. Forbes Theatre - these are 'Price For Peace' and 'D-Day Remembered'.

O Museu Oceanográfico "Prof. Eliézer de Carvalho Rios" deu origem ao Complexo de Museus e Centros Associados da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande. Fundado em 8 de setembro de 1953, mantém uma exposição pública sobre a vida e a dinâmica dos oceanos, apresentada em painéis, maquetes, aquários e diversos equipamentos utilizados em pesquisas oceanográficas. Nos painéis das salas do Museu são apresentadas várias conchas, que enriquecem a sua coleção de moluscos (atualmente com 51.000 lotes). Esta coleção, considerada a mais importante da América do Sul, foi organizada pelo Diretor Fundador do Museu Oceanográfico, o Professor Eliézer de Carvalho Rios.

Tradição e ruptura sempre fizeram parte da história e da atitude do Museu da Imagem e do Som para sedimentar sua trajetória e desenhar seus objetivos. A Casa do Patrimônio Ferroviário Brasileiro, conhecido como Museu do Trem, administrado pela REDE FERROVIÁRIA FEDERAL, foi inaugurado em fevereiro de 1984. Instalado no antigo galpão de pinturas de carros da Estrada de Ferro Pedro II. São destaques: A BARONEZA, construída na Inglaterra, foi a primeira locomotiva a trafegar no Brasil em 1854. O CARRO IMPERIAL que foi fabricado em 1886, na Bélgica, para servir ao imperador D. Pedro II; O CARRO DO REI ALBERTO, que fazia parte da composição adaptada exclusivamente para servir ao Rei da Bélgica, em 1921, por ocasião da sua visita ao Brasil e O CARRO PRESIDENCIAL que serviu a Getulio Vargas na década de 30. O Museu do Índio, órgão científico-cultural da Fundação Nacional do Índio (Funai), foi criado por Darcy Ribeiro, no Rio de Janeiro, em 1953. É a única instituição oficial no país exclusivamente dedicada às culturas indígenas. Seu objetivo é divulgar uma imagem correta, atualizada e sem preconceitos dessas sociedades junto a variados públicos, despertando, assim, o interesse pela causa indígena. Realiza, também, estudos e pesquisas para ampliar e aprofundar os conhecimentos sobre esses povos..

Considerado, ainda em vida, o maior compositor das Américas, Heitor Villa-Lobos compôs cerca de 1.000 obras e sua importância reside, entre outros aspectos, no fato de ter reformulado o conceito de nacionalismo musical, tornando-se seu maior expoente. Foi, também, através de Villa-Lobos que a música brasileira se fez representar em outros países, culminando por se universalizar.

A Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa tem sede na casa onde residiu o grande jurista e intelectual brasileiro entre 1895 e 1923, data de sua morte. Comprada pelo governo brasileiro em 1924, juntamente com a biblioteca, os arquivos e a propriedade intelectual das obras de Rui Barbosa, a casa foi aberta ao público como museu - o primeiro museu-casa do Brasil - em 1930.

A Casa das Rosas, localizada na Avenida Paulista número 37, foi projetada na década de 1930 pelo escritório de Ramos de Azevedo, para ser a residência de sua filha Lúcia, recém casada com o engenheiro Ernesto Dias de Castro. A bela casa, hoje referência na vida do paulistano, foi uma das últimas construções realizadas na avenida.

Além de sua sede, Reserva Biológica e Jardim Botânico situados dentro do Parque Estadual das Fontes do Ipiranga, bairro da Água Funda, na capital do Estado de São Paulo, o Instituto de Botânica possui duas outras unidades de conservação, representando os biomas principais do Estado: mata Atlântica (Reserva Biológica de Paranapiacaba) e cerrado (Reserva Biológica e Estação Experimental de Moji Guaçu).

Detentor de expressivo acervo da memória audiovisual do Estado, o Museu da Imagem e do Som do Ceará (MIS-CE), criado e implementado pela Secretaria da Cultura (Secult), desenvolve uma diversidade de atividades museológicas: ensino, pesquisa, antropologia cultural, cultura popular e expressões audiovisuais. Além do acervo disponibilizado ao usuário, o MIS possui biblioteca especializada (em fase de reorganização), sala de projeção multimídia e espaços expositivos.

Inaugurado em Ouro Preto, em outubro de 1998, o Museu do Oratório apresenta uma magnífica coleção – única em todo o mundo – de 162 oratórios e 300 imagens dos séculos XVII ao XX. As peças do acervo foram doadas ao IPHAN (Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional) pela colecionadora Angela Gutierrez e são genuinamente brasileiras, principalmente de Minas Gerais. Caracterizando-se pela diversidade de tipos, de tamanhos e de materiais, o acervo oferece detalhes valiosos da arquitetura, pintura, vestuário e costumes da época em que foram produzidos, permitindo uma verdadeira viagem antropológica pela história do Brasil.

The DOCKYARD MUSEUM in the Naval Officer's House interprets the story of English Harbour and of the people that toiled in this famous Georgian Royal Naval Yard. It also explains the 20th century return of sailing ships and the aims and aspirations of Nelson's Dockyard National Park. There is also a small "Nelson's Room" with a life sized portrait of Nelson researched through archaeological means.
