Started by William Entenmann in the late 1800’s as fresh baked breads, rolls and cakes delivered door to door by horse and carriage, Entenmann’s soon became a household name. For generations, it’s been a part of our lives, and synonymous with delicious, quality baked treats. |

With its vintage American desserts and decor, customers often remark that walking into the Bakery is like taking a step back in time. In 2007, the original owner decided to pass her oven mitts to a new family she felt would maintain the integrity of what had become an iconic brand. And so, Steve Abrams, a veteran NYC restaurateur and consultant along with his wife and daughter, took over the Bakery. Since then they have slowly and thoughtfully expanded from one shop to six.

Great breads have a timeless quality. The ingredients - flour, water, salt, starters - haven't change over centuries, across borders and oceans. Crusty bread brings both sustenance and great pleasure.
Fine wine and crusty bread have matched perfectly for centuries. Now, this perfect pairing reaches a new peak with our Artisan Wine Breads. The natural yeast in fermenting grapes typically convert grape juice into wine. In this case, the yeast became the starting point for our Artisan Wine Breads. |
