After Realization, as an adolescent, he began intensive austerities called tapasya and through these he accomplished and mastered all the branches of Yoga, proving through his own experience that they are all genuine paths to the realization of Supreme Self or God — Everlasting Oneness or Immortal Truth.

The studio entrance is located on the northeast corner of East 76th Street and 1st Avenue above the 3 Star Diner. Follow the stairs up the first stairway to the second floor. Please note that the buzzer is outside the first door but opens the inner door.

The Willow was founded by Jennifer Shea in 2002 with the hlep of Gina Addeo. Jenna moved to Staten Island in December 2001 from East Hampton, NY where she worked full time as a Pilates/Dance teacher at the reknowned Gurneys Inn Resort and Spa. Following September 11, 2001, Jenna wanted to use her expertise to help heal victims of this tragedy but found that nowhere on Staten Island was a facility for her to find employment.

Sandy Godina is a former attorney who received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.  She was introduced to Pilates while practicing law and enjoyed it so much that she changed careers.  Sandy received her certification from Romana’s Pilates, where she trained with Joseph Pilates’ world-renowned protégé, Romana Kryzanowska, and master instructor Sari Mejia Santos.

Ellen (Elle) Worth, Director, certified 500 hr YA Certification from Yoga Shanti-Sag Harbor, NY 2004. Focus is on the breath, technique and alignment based on the studies and influences of B.K.S. Iyengar, and Anusara yoga. I am grateful for the influences of my teachers, Jessica Bellofatto, Colleen Saidman-Yee, John Seeley, Rodney Yee, Lippy (Susan Orem), Manorama and Edward Clark of Tripsicore Yoga.

KamaDeva Yoga teachers come from diverse yogic backgrounds, and our class schedule reflects many of the different styles of Yoga that are practiced.
