At Apothéke, the presentation of a cocktail is just as dramatic as the cocktail itself. The bar is no longer a bar. It’s a stage. A chemistry lab. A theatre. In 1964 Marguerite and Dominic started serving pizza and sandwiches from a small corner in the back of a bar called the Squan Tavern. Dominic was a meat cutter in a supermarket in Long Branch during the day and used to drive down to Manasquan at night to work at the Squan Tavern serving the foods that he was raised on.
