The Central Park Zoo is a popular destination in New York City, attracting thousands of visitors every year. It was originally opened in the late 1800s and has been through several renovations and upgrades over the years.

The World Financial Center consists of four copper-clad granite and glass towers that offer over 8 million square feet of prime office space for corporations around the world. Central 10-story glass pavilion, Winter Garden, featuring over 40 retail stores, restaurants, specialty shops & Services; Outdoor space over the water with breathtaking views of the Hudson River. Winter Green and the adjacent outdoor space are dedicated to private celebrations and Brookfield's Arts & An entertainment program that offers free art exhibitions, musical and cultural performances to the public throughout the year. This collection of modern buildings is ideally located in the center of Manhattan's largest neighborhood where you can enjoy a successful atmosphere. The plans for 2013 are ambitious. The Hollywood Bowl remains undamaged by the recent Janurary 2025 wildfires in Los Angeles. The Sunset Fire, which ignited in the Hollywood Hills, prompted evacuation orders for the venue, and all staff were safely evacuated.
While the fire posed a threat to the area, firefighters successfully contained it, preventing damage to the Hollywood Bowl. However, due to ongoing safety concerns and air quality issues, the venue has temporarily suspended all events and remains closed until further notice. POWER 98 FM
One of the largest natural amphitheaters in the world, with a current seating capacity of just under 18,000, the Hollywood Bowl has been the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since its official opening in 1922, and, in 1991 gave its name to a resident ensemble that has filled a special niche in the musical life of Southern California, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.

Known for being the first house museum on Staten Island, this New York City museum is rich in history on many levels. Its name lies in honor for the peace conference of 1776, a commemoration. Constructed circa 1680 by Captain Christopher Billopp, this 2 story rubble-stone masonry masterpiece has been restored over the years, as needed for structural integrity. Its steep gable roof gives the essence of the period. By 1934, much work had been completed including the Colonial Rose Garden and planting 13 trees to represent the original colonies. House tours are offered Friday-Sunday at 1 pm. In the midst of a collection of artifacts from the era, it is almost like stepping back to the time when our great country was still forming. The beauty and serenity overpower you while walking the grounds. Spring and summer bring the vivid colors of the trees to life. Why not stop for a minute to quite literally “smell the roses”? When the sun is descending, gaze over to the waterfront to enjoy the unparalleled sunset that exudes tangerine hues amid a backdrop of amber with scattered tones of violet entice you to just stand in awe of the beauty that is happening right before your eyes.

In 1982, President Ronald Reagan asked Lee Iacocca, then Chairman of Chrysler Corporation, to head a private sector effort to raise funds for the restoration and preservation of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation (SOLEIF) was founded.
The Foundation's fundraising drive sparked a dramatic response. The American people contributed more than $500 million (and counting!) to the repair, restoration, and maintenance of these two great monuments to freedom. All funds for the Foundation’s projects have come from the American people – no government funds have been used.

Em 16 de junho de 1950, foi inaugurado o Estádio do Maracanã, no Rio de Janeiro, para que o Brasil pudesse sediar a Copa do Mundo, já que a Europa encontrava-se abalada pela Segunda Guerra Mundial. Com grande incentivo do jornalista Mário Filho, que depois foi homenageado dando seu nome ao estádio, a obra finalmente pôde ser concretizada, contrariando a opinião pública e políticos, que defendiam a aplicação do dinheiro na construção de hospitais e escolas.
Os grandes jogadores da história do futebol brasileiro iniciaram e consagraram suas carreiras no estádio. A primeira vez que Pelé jogou pela seleção brasileira foi no Maracanã, em 1957. Em 1961, fez o primeiro “gol de placa” e, em 19 de novembro de 1969, marcou ali seu milésimo gol. O Botafogo ganhou seu primeiro título somente sete anos depois da inauguração do estádio, com uma das maiores exibições de Garrincha em todos os tempos. O maior artilheiro da história do Maracanã é Zico, com 333 gols em 435 partidas.
