NEW in 2006! The Big Kahuna The most visible enhancement to the park this year can be seen climbing 75 feet into the air: the Big Kahuna is an extreme tubing experience, which begins as guests board a four-person raft headed for a spiraling ride more than 700 feet long. Guests speed through triple dips and twisting turns on the alternately open and enclosed track before bursting into the sunshine and the cool splash pool below.

Get ready for the ride of your lives! One of the tallest coasters in the northeast, Superman Ride of Steel climbs approximately 208 feet and reaches speeds over 70 mph.

Historic Richmond Town is a living history museum located in Staten Island, New York. It is a complex of buildings and structures that have been carefully preserved to give visitors a glimpse into the past and a better understanding of the history and culture of Staten Island and New York City. The museum features over 30 historical structures, including a colonial-era courthouse, a one-room schoolhouse, and a variety of homes and businesses that were once located throughout Staten Island. Visitors can experience what life was like in the past through interactive exhibits, tours, and living history demonstrations. The museum is also home to the Staten Island Historical Society, which is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Staten Island and its residents. The Decker Farm is also part of the museum's property, where visitors can enjoy the bountiful harvests of produce from its well-maintained and beautiful organic fields, and learn about the farming practices used in the past.

Astoria Park has more than only aquatic delights, despite being well-known for its exquisite pool—which is the oldest and biggest in the city. Attractions such as baseball diamonds, basketball courts, playgrounds, a track, a bandstand, and several pathways draw people from the five boroughs and beyond. And the vistas! The park, which is situated between the Triborough Bridge and the Hell Gate Bridge and borders the East River, provides year-round views and sounds of the waterfront, making the benches around the park a popular gathering place.

The philosophy of the Buffalo Zoo is to exhibit animals and plants in ecological habitats and geographical arrangements that represent the biomes of the world. Current programs focus on providing visitors with a better understanding of the natural world, how animals relate to each other, to their environment and to humankind. No longer are animals housed at the Buffalo Zoo solely for the amusement and entertainment of visitors, but rather, are presented to increase awareness for the importance of conservation for the benefit of both the animal kingdom and the human race.

"Scootcars are a 2 person, gasoline powered, 3-wheeled motorcycle. They are classified as a moped and only require a regular driver’s license to operate. They are the most exiting way to explore Lake George, they can zip around town and get you anywhere you want to go! Parking is a snap when touring on a scootcar, just park it anywhere you would a motorcycle.
We provide helmets and drivers must be 18 years old. If you are 16 years-old with a driver's permit, you may drive a Scootcar with a parent or guardian if they ride with you in the vehicle and if they have ID."

AAA Paintball has been open for 15 years and has 100 plus rentals to offer. We are a quality insured and safety certified organization. We encourage players to bring their own equipment but are a "field paint only" facility because paint quality is controllable. Players and groups are also welcome to schedule private groups.

Relive the golden age of railroading, a time when The Adirondack played host to the rich and famous on their way to their Great Camps. Our adventures offer many different scenic excursions departing from Utica's beautifully restored Union Station. This is our longest adventure, offering a full day trip, passing many flagstops including Holland Patent, Remsen, Forestport, Woodgate and Otter Lake. The journey is over 2 hours each way with a 4-1/2 hour layover in Thendara in the summer.

The Panama Rocks are reputed to be the world's most extensive outcropping of glacier-sculpted, ocean-quartz-conglomerate rock. Geologists believe the rocks originated as sand and gravel sea islands, over 300 million years ago. The islands were part of a huge river delta. Over aeons, the islands were covered by thousands of feet of sediments, and were 'pressure compacted' into rock. About 165 million years ago, the rock was fractured and uplifted to its present altitude [1650']. During the last Ice Age, a glacier cut-into and unearthed the rock. Since that time a lush, mixed forest has grown over the site.

The massive stone bridge arch - the largest marble cave entrance in the east - dominates this spectacular display of ancient Adirondack geology from rock over one billion years old. Take a walking stick, map, and camera and set out on a self-guided, above-ground, natural stone step nature trail and experience up-close the many unique rock features, such as potholes, grottos, a gorge and mill site waterfalls. Descend into lighted surface caves with raging waterfalls or tranquil dark pools. Fabulous coral reefs, which were imported from the Fiji Islands, will amaze you. They feature dozens of different species of invertebrates, living coral, and various other life forms. You'll notice Gonipora Coral from Malaysia, Gorgonia from the Caribbean Sea, Leather corals from Indonesia, Hawaiian Feather Dusters, Sea Apples from the Australian Barrier Reef, and many more interesting creatures.

Founded in 1900 by the financier Spencer Trask and his wife Katrina, herself a poet, Yaddo is an artists' community located on a 400-acre estate in Saratoga Springs, New York. Its mission is to nurture the creative process by providing an opportunity for artists to work without interruption in a supportive environment.
Yaddo offers residencies to professional creative artists from all nations and backgrounds working in one or more of the following media: choreography, film, literature, musical composition, painting, performance art, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. Artists may apply individually or as members of collaborative teams of two or three persons. They are selected by panels of other professional artists without regard to financial means. Residencies last from two weeks to two months and include room, board, and studio.

Wilderstein is an independent not-for-profit historic site located in Rhinebeck, New York. Our mission is to enrich people’s lives by providing a relevant, engaging cultural destination; to protect, preserve and restore the estate’s architecture, landscape and collections; and to interpret the site’s history in compelling and innovative ways.

The Dutchess County Agricultural Society, Inc. is a nonprofit 501c5 corporation. The 80 member society is made up of interested men and women who elect the 16 member Board of Directors. This group oversees all aspects of the operation of the fair and all off season events. The General Manager works with and communicates directly to the Board. A permanent staff of eleven produces the various events and maintains the 162-acre facility throughout the year. The number of paid staff and volunteers during the fair grows to several hundred.

Roberson Museum and Science Center is a complex institution encompassing the Binghamton campus of museum and science center, including historic buildings.
Roberson Memorial, Inc. was established by the will of Alonzo Roberson in 1934 to create an “educational center …for the use and benefit of all people.” The Roberson Memorial Center (as first called) opened to the public in 1954 in the Roberson Mansion.

Peter Dubacher started the Berkshire Bird Paradise, a certified not for profit company back in 1972 as a "labor of love." It has grown into one of the largest bird sanctuaries in the country. The sanctuary has evolved into an outdoors educational institution, where students on field trips with their parents or on college internship programs can learn about birds. The sanctuary is also a small botanical garden with hundreds of plants and exotic flowers .We are constantly improving our grounds, with the help of great volunteers.
