Construction of the cross frame was done in two shops in Pampa, Texas by more than 100 welders and erected in July of 1995. Truly, all things are possible for those who believe.

Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden will kick off its roster of 2013 events on January 12 with a concert by the Vincent Ruggieri Jazz Quartet and an exhibition of the work of two unique artists from the Snug Harbor Artist Residency Program (SHARP). The jazz concert, the first in the Island Sounds Music Mash-Up series will be from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Main Hall, Building C. The SHARP exhibition will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art in Building G. Refreshments will be served. Admission to both events is free. The Snug Harbor campus is at 1000 Richmond Terrace in Staten Island.

Construído em três anos, de 1936 a 1939, o prédio da ABI, destaca-se inclusive por ter sido nele utilizada pela primeira vez a solução apresentada pelo legendário Le Corbusier para o problema do excesso de luz - o “brise-soleil”, quebra-sol através de persianas de concreto na fachada.
O edifício-sede da ABI foi tombado pelo Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico Estadual em 1965. Sua principal característica é a unidade, que dá a tônica do conjunto, tanto nas soluções plásticas quanto nas estruturais.
A história da fundação da ABI se confunde com a de seu perseverante idealizador Gustavo de Lacerda. Criada em 7 de abril de 1908, seu principal objetivo era assegurar à classe jornalística os direitos assistenciais e tornar-se um centro poderoso de ação. Segundo o próprio Lacerda, a Associação deveria ser um campo neutro em que se pudessem abrigar todos os trabalhadores da imprensa.

The Landing hosts more than 350 events each year including Florida/Georgia Weekend Celebrations, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, New Year’s Eve and Gator Bowl Celebrations, St. Patrick's Day and July 4th. Weekly events include live weekend entertainment in the center courtyard offering a variety of music including classic rock, oldies, contemporary, jazz, and top 40. O Teatro Municipal João Caetano foi reinaugurado em 1995, após uma profunda restauração. O projeto de recuperação encarou um grande desafio que era respeitar os aspectos históricos e ao mesmo tempo dotá-lo de modernidade. Ao longo de sua história, o teatro sofreu sucessivas obras de reformas que foram alterando a forma original do prédio, adaptando espaços e desfigurando seus seus núcleos históricos, dando origem a um prédio com características de diferentes épocas. No entanto, a fachada manteve as linhas arquitetônicas neoclássicas da reforma de 1888 e 1889.

O Castelinho do Flamengo, também conhecido como Castelinho das Bruxas e Castelinho do Flamengo, patrimônio histórico tombado da cidade, construção residencial do Comendador Joaquim da Silva Cardoso e sua esposa Dona Carolina.Castelinho no início do Século XX, foi projetado em 1916 pelo arquiteto italiano Gino Copede e sua construção terminou em 1918.
O Centro Cultural municipal foi criado em 1992. O nome escolhido buscou homenagear o dramaturgo carioca Oduvaldo Vianna Filho, carinhosamente chamado pelos amigos de Vianinha, falecido precocemente em 1974.
A programação do espaço privilegia a palavra e inclui exposições de poesia visual, oficinas de literatura, filosofia e artes, cursos, debates, seminários e mostras especiais de filmes em vídeo.
O Castelinho disponibiliza ainda uma midiateca com cerca de 750 títulos em seu acervo e acesso gratuito à internet. Tem um auditório com capacidade para 40 lugares, 3 pequenas galerias para exposições e 3 salas para debates e oficinas.

Um belíssimo mirante que deixa o Rio de Janeiro aos seus pés. De lá, tem-se uma visão extraordinária do centro da cidade e de toda a orla do Rio – desde o Aeroporto Santos Dumont até a Urca. Logo abaixo estão os Arcos da Lapa. Aberto ao público, o Parque foi o que restou do Palacete Murtinho Nobre, onde morou Laurinda Santos Lobo. A casa foi um dos pontos mais efervescentes da vida cultural carioca durante muitos anos, até a morte da anfitriã, em 1946. A Prefeitura fez renascer das ruínas a cultura que ali existiu. O parque abriga uma sala de exposições, auditório e cafeteria, garantindo conforto a shows musicais, happy hours e leitura de textos literários. Nas áreas ao ar livre se destacam concorridos shows e uma programação especial para as crianças nos finais de semana. Com três andares, a casa chama atenção também por sua arquitetura e estilo - tijolos aparentes combinados harmoniosamente com estruturas metálicas e de vidro.
