The United States Capitol Complex is comprised of the Capitol, the House and Senate Office Buildings, the U.S. Botanic Garden, the Capitol Grounds, the Library of Congress buildings, the Supreme Court Building, the Capitol Power Plant, and various support facilities. In addition, work has now begun towards the construction of a new Capitol Visitor Center, an underground facility to be located beneath the Capitol's east front plaza.

Flushing Meadow Corona Park is one of the greatest places in New York City. It has become the keystone park of Queens and a recreation and cultural hub for the region; yet, it was once just a dusty wasteland, "a valley of ashes" as F. The Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge is a double-decked suspension bridge that connects the New York City boroughs of Staten Island and Brooklyn. It spans the Narrows, a body of water that separates the two boroughs, and is named after the explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano, who was the first European to enter New York Harbor in 1524. The bridge was designed by Othmar Ammann, who was also the chief engineer of the George Washington Bridge, and was completed in 1964. At the time of its completion, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world with a main span of 4,260 feet. The bridge has six lanes of traffic on the upper level and three on the lower level, and is a major transportation link for commuters and commercial vehicles. The bridge also offers a spectacular view of the New York City skyline and the harbor. The bridge's opening ceremony was attended by various dignitaries including Robert Moses, the powerful NYC Parks commissioner and urban planner who had pushed for the construction of the bridge. The bridge is considered as an engineering marvel and a significant transportation link in the New York City.

The Central Park Zoo is a popular destination in New York City, attracting thousands of visitors every year. It was originally opened in the late 1800s and has been through several renovations and upgrades over the years.

O Observatório Nacional foi criado oficialmente por D. Pedro I em 15 de outubro de 1827. Entre suas finalidades estava a orientação e estudos geográficos do território brasileiro e de ensino da navegação. Entretanto, segundo o Padre Serafim Leite, em 1730, os jesuítas instalaram um observatório no Morro do Castelo, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro.
O Observatório Nacional, atualmente, tem a missão de realizar pesquisa e desenvolvimento em Astronomia, Geofísica e Metrologia em Tempo e Freqüência, formar pesquisadores em seus cursos de pós-graduação, capacitar profissionais, coordenar projetos e atividades nacionais nestas áreas e gerar, manter e disseminar a Hora Legal Brasileira.

Since its birth almost forty years ago as the "First Inland Oceanarium", the Aquarium of Niagara has seen over 8 million visitors, tourists, teachers, and students pass through its doors. It was the first aquarium to use synthetic seawater to exclusively maintain marinelife. More than forty exhibits showcase 1,500 aquatic animals from around the globe.
The Aquarium of Niagara is one of only 17 institutions in North America to house a colony of the endangered Peruvian penguin. Two daily penguin feedings provide visitors an opportunity to "Meet the Keeper" and learn about these fascinating aquatic birds!
The schedule includes exciting shark feedings (on alternate days), and scheduled sessions with the California sea lions in the 100,000 gallon central pool. Moray eels, piranhas, clownfish and the brilliantly colored fish of the coral reefs compliment the regional freshwater exhibits of sturgeon, gar and rock bass.

Since the move to Grassmere in 1996, Nashville Zoo has created many new exhibits, hosted exciting community events and designed a variety of children's programs. Our Jungle Gym playground is the largest community-built playground in the United States and includes over 66,000 square feet for sliding, swinging, climbing, crawling and exploring. From African elephants to Bengal tigers and red pandas, Nashville Zoo provides a home to animals found all over the world. These beautiful creatures can be found in equally beautiful habitats like the new Giraffe Savannah, Alligator Cove, Red River Hog Habitat and many more. Other exciting additions include the Wild Animal Carousel and an interactive Lorikeet Landing exhibit where you can enter an aviary and be surrounded by more than 50 Australian parrots. The Grassmere Historic House and Farm still stand, providing a glimpse into farm life during the 1880s.

Fun Plex started here in Omaha, Neb in 1978. We started small with miniature golf, go-karts, and an arcade.
As the years passed by we have made many expansions and improvements. We built a new go-kart track, introduced a slick track, and subsequently built many more rides. These include bumper cars, bumper boats, and numerous kiddie rides.
The year 1984 saw many changes for Fun Plex. This is when we introduced the first elements of our waterpark. We started simply with a wave pool. A few years later we built twin 5-storey Typhoon water slides.
Today, we are continuing our expansions plans. In 2001 we added two new rides, the Balloon Ferris Wheel and the Kiddie Train. In 2002 we remodeled our midway into our new air-conditioned Pit Stop. 2003 saw the addition of both the Yo-Yo and the Chaos.. Fun Plex now consists of two water slides, a wave pool, a lazzy river, 5 kiddie rides, batting cages, a go-kart and slick track, bumper cars and boats, Tilt-A-Whirl, and a Ferris Wheel. We now see tens of thousands of guests come through our park every year and host numerous company picnics. In 2004 we are planning lots of great changes, and we hope you will be there with us to share in the exciting news ! ! !

A pouco mais de 80 quilômetros do Rio, a pequena Sacra Família do Tinguá, no município de Engenheiro Paulo de Frontin, vive-se um clima de autêntica descontração, resultante das peripécias e traquinagens dos hóspedes do local; crianças alegres e felizes se divertindo a valer. A palavra de ordem é confraternização, valorizar ao máximo a convivência em grupo.
Os acampamentos livram as crianças do controle familiar e abrem um mundo novo para elas. O primeiro grito de independência. Longe dos olhares paternos, as crianças convivem com pessoas diferentes, tomam decisões sozinhas, aprendem a ser disciplinadas e crescem em todos os sentidos.
São 750 mil metros quadrados de área verde cercado de montanhas e belas paisagens comportando grupos de até 170 pessoas. A colônia oferece acomodações para dormir, refeitório, piscina, quadra de esporte, lago, gincanas, festas dançantes e peças de teatro. Durante o dia, o passeio ecológico é um dos momentos mais esperados. Acompanhados por um biólogo, a garotada sai à procura de animais de diferentes espécies pela mata. São três refeições e mais três lanches por dia para repor a energia,

O Palácio do Itamaraty, de grande valor histórico e artístico é uma construção de 1851, autoria de Francisco José da Rocha, Conde de Itamarati. Foi sede do governo republicano de 1889 a 1898 e sede do Ministério das Relações Exteriores de 1899 a 1970. Os jardins e lago internos são de autoria de Jacinto Rebelo, como também o projeto do edifício principal do palácio, em estilo neoclássico, simétrico e de nobres proporções. Abriga, hoje, o Museu Histórico e Diplomático, Arquivo Histórico e Mapoteca. A edificação é o 8º prédio tombado pelo Patrimônio Histórico no país. Funciona no Palácio Itamaraty, a mais completa biblioteca de referência das Nações Unidas no Brasil, com documentos sobre a Organização internacional. A Biblioteca do Centro de Informação da ONU no Rio de Janeiro possui mais de 15 mil livros e 300 títulos de periódicos a disposição dos usuários, além de folhetos e material informativo.
